Caregiver-First Tech for Stronger Connections
Solving Human Problems, Not Just Building Apps
Much of today’s technology chases trends. Every week brings a new widget or AI tool vying for attention, clever, but often fleeting. The most impactful technology, though, doesn’t start with hype. It starts with people.
At CuroNow, we’re building with a simple but powerful conviction: technology should lighten the emotional and logistical load of caregiving. Our goal isn’t to create more screen time — it’s to give families, friends, and neighbors the gift of connection.
Caregiver-First, Connection at the Core
Caregiving today is messy, overwhelming, and often invisible. People are juggling full-time jobs, raising children, and supporting parents or loved ones — all while managing appointments, medications, and endless coordination.
That’s where CuroNow comes in. We’re creating a caregiver-first mobile platform designed to make care coordination seamless across generations and across care hubs. Yes, the foundation is practical — schedules, reminders, and medication lists. But the real value is what comes after: giving caregivers back the time and energy to focus on what truly matters — supporting, connecting, and being present with those they care for.
The Team Behind the Mission
CuroNow is powered by more than code. It’s powered by people.
Our team is a mosaic of volunteers and collaborators, each bringing their own caregiving lens:
Some have grandparents living with dementia and want to honor the role of elders.
Some grew up in cultures where caring for parents is ingrained as a lifelong responsibility.
Others are part of the “sandwich generation,” balancing careers, kids, and long-distance caregiving for parents across states or even continents.
And some are college students and young professionals, lending weekends and late nights to push our MVP closer to launch.
What unites us is a shared belief: caregiving should not feel like a full-time job stacked on top of another full-time job.
Together, we’re not just building features — we’re building dignity, transparency, and continuity across care circles.
Tech for Good, Beyond Caregiving
We’re not alone in this vision. Across the world, technology is being reimagined for human connection:
Papa is redefining eldercare by pairing older adults with “Papa Pals” — younger companions who provide social support, rides, and assistance that help people stay independent at home. With partnerships across Medicare and Medicaid, Papa shows how companionship and connection can be just as important as clinical care.
Clyx helps young adults combat loneliness by nudging friends to meet in real life instead of just scrolling online.
Be My Eyes connects blind and low-vision users with volunteers to provide visual assistance on demand.
Each of these platforms proves that technology can make lives better — not by keeping us glued to screens, but by empowering us to build real relationships. CuroNow stands proudly in this “tech for good” movement, applying the same principles to one of life’s most universal challenges: caregiving.
Why Now
The need has never been greater. Our population is aging. Families and communities are more geographically spread out. And caregivers — whether they are children, spouses, neighbors, or friends — are burning out at record rates.
By building CuroNow, we’re creating more than an app — we’re creating continuity. Multi-generational care circles will have one place to coordinate, connect, and share responsibilities. And in doing so, we hope to reduce stress, restore balance, and strengthen connections.
Looking Ahead
Our MVP is already in beta testing, with early families helping us refine and improve. We’re preparing for the next phase of growth, including joining accelerators, connecting with mentors, and learning directly from caregivers in the community.
Through it all, our focus remains steady: caregiver-first, connection at the core.
